Abstract

This paper presents a brief summary of the development and research of intelligent transportation systems in the period of China's tenth five-year plan. The developed integrated systems shown in this paper include traffic street intersection signal control, digital bus station, integrated traffic network control and management. The key researched techniques introduced in this paper are focused on agent-based and vision-based technologies; traffic modeling, control, and simulation; communication and location-based services and driving safety and assistance.
