Abstract

This paper examines resistive-capacitive voltage dividers. Broadband voltage dividers, which should be used as primary voltage transducers for measuring power quality parameters, must have a constant amplitude-frequency characteristic in the frequency range from zero to tens of megahertz. The paper contains research necessary to reduce the instability of the amplitude-frequency characteristic of the voltage divider, which is caused by the non-identical resistive and capacitive elements of its high-voltage arm. It is shown that adjusting the capacitance of the low-voltage arm of the voltage divider it is possible to reduce the oscillation magnitude of the amplitude-frequency characteristic of the voltage divider in the transition domain by about 2.25 times.
