Realization of Global Information Infrastructure

Abstract

Global information infrastructure (GII) definition, GII structure, GII levels, GII models, GII services, problems concerning realization of GII, analysis of possibilities of GII use, asynchronous learning networks (networks with intelligence) based on GII services and their use for educational application: distance learning, exemplary information infrastructure at regional level (European information infrastructure), message handling system (MHS) requirements for information infrastructure at national level, use of intelligent educational application in GII are presented and discussed in the paper.
