Distribution of diatoms in the surface sediments of the Eastern Arctic seas (based on the 77th and 83rd cruises of the R/V Akademik MA Lavrentiev, 2016, 2018)

Abstract

The study of diatoms in the surface sediments of the Eastern Arctic seas obtained in recent years (2016 and 2018) showed significant changes in the composition and quantitative ratio of species in the diatom assemblages of the Laptev and the East Siberian seas compared with the assemblages from sediments about 30 years ago, while the diatoms in sediments of the Chukchi Sea during this period have not changed.
