А. Melikov’s symphonic poem "Metamorphoses": to the questions of thematic unity and formation

Abstract

Статья посвящена исследованию вопросов тематического единства и формообразования в симфонической поэме «Метаморфозы» А. Меликова. Научная новизна статьи определяется малоизученностью данного произведения в азербайджанской музыкальной науке. Как показал анализ, комплекс всех тем поэмы объединяется лейтформулой «метаморфозы», проявляющейся на микроуровне через общую интервальную среду. В поэме складывается цепная связь между темами-вариантами одного интонационного комплекса, что позволяет определить ее структуру как сквозную вариантную моноформу This article is devoted to the questions of thematic unity and formation in A. Melikov’s symphonic poem "Metamorphoses". The research novelty of the article is determined by the little study of this work in Azerbaijani musicology. As the analysis has shown, the complex of all themes of the poem is united by leitformula of "metamorphosis", which manifests itself at the micro-level through a common interval environment. In the poem, a chain link is formed between the themes-variants of one intonation complex, which makes it possible to define its structure as a through variant monoform
