Additional specialty of a technical teacher for engineers afforded in continuing education at Tallinn University of technology

Abstract

The present article introduces the newly designed curriculum of continuing education at Tallinn University of Technology. Educational demand of technical teachers in Estonia has been of high importance today, as there are not enough of STEM and technical teachers at gymnasiums and vocational schools. This has been the primary reason for the design of a new curriculum creating the possibilities of acquiring the additional specialty of a technical teacher for engineers. The curriculum has been designed and implemented and the first feedback of the graduates is analyzed in the article.
