Abstract

In order to design and optimize SAW devices, wave propagation in piezoelectric-piezomagnetic composite (PPC) structures have received much attention in recent years. By using Laguerre orthogonal polynomials method, the SH waves propagation in functionally graded piezoelectric-piezomagnetic (FGPPC) half-space is investigated in this paper. The corresponding dispersion curves and displacement distributions are illustrated. Comparison with the available reference results confirms the correctness of the polynomial method. The influence of gradient variation about material constants on phase velocity dispersion curves and displacement distributions curves are discussed.
