A Study on the Practical Strategy for the Realization of Politeness in Chinese

Abstract

This study is based on the hypothesis that the understanding of the Rules of Politeness by learners in Korea is generally limited and inaccurate, and this leads to an avoidance strategy sociolinguistic competence. In this study, it is viewed that the lack of understanding and misuse of Pragmatic strategies is caused by insufficient education of the phrase because without a proper implementation, the learners would not be able to understand or use them. I will argue that a thorough and clear teaching outline needs to be set and provided in order to reduce grammatical errors in use of Rules of Politeness.
