Abstract

This work presents an eight-port multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna for fifth generation (5G) millimeter wave (mm-Wave) applications. Each MIMO antenna consists of an inverted T-shaped array with a corporate feed network. The proposed structure is resonating for the 23.5–27.45 GHz band, thus covering the 26 GHz mm-Wave band. Additionally, the peak gain obtained for the MIMO elements is 11.5 dBi. The presented structure provides acceptable values for Envelope Correlation Coefficient (ECC), and Diversity Gain (DG). The simple structure, high gain, wide bandwidth, and good MIMO performance makes this design suitable for 5G mm-Wave devices.
