Social Network Analysis Supporting Collaborative Knowledge Building

Abstract

Analyzing collaboration data can help revealing important aspects of the collaboration. The results can be used to support both teachers’ intervention and students’ self regulation. This paper presents a social network analysis method to support collaborative learning, using a collaborative knowledge building system as an example. The details of the network analysis process and its integration with a knowledge building system are described.
