Abstract
A 43-year-old male with a history of hypertension, obesity, and alcoholism presented with respiratory failure secondary to COVID-19 and was subsequently
intubated. The patient was placed on therapeutic enoxaparin to treat the prothrombotic state caused by SARS-CoV-2. After the patient was weaned from the
ventilator a neurological examination had revealed an acute ischemic stroke despite being on therapeutic anti-coagulation. Prior to discharge, a right upper
extremity ultrasound also revealed a cephalic vein thrombus. This was consistent with both arterial and venous thrombotic complications.
