Abstract

An analysis of the genetic structure of a sample consisting of individuals of Russian, Tatar and Bashkir ethnicity living in the Republic of Bashkortostan was carried out on the basis of a genome-wide association analysis using the method of principal component analysis. The results demonstrate genetic differentiation across the 610,000 loci studied in the genome-wide association study of paranoid schizophrenia and confirm the importance of assessing association with paranoid schizophrenia by ethnicity.
