Abstract

This paper considers the electronic failure mechanism known as upset. Upset represents a recoverable system failure in a circuit or system. For example, a computer that stops until rebooted represents such a failure. Failure illumination thresholds are often close to or below operating levels but have carefully chosen waveform parameters. Parity-time reversal (PT) symmetric circuits are used as examples.
