Abstract

The author of the article focuses on the Palekh miniaturist Valentin Mikhailovich Khodov and his vision of the revolutionary past of the Ivanovo region. The logic of the development of the plot plan is shown while maintaining the ideological unity of artistic images. Through the prism of the revelations of the master himself and the memoirs of his contemporaries, the sources of creative inspiration, the specifics of the work of the Palekh miniaturist are considered. The basic coordinates of V. M. Khodova. A cultural and historical analysis of several works is proposed. The conclusion about the conceptual place of V. M. Khodov in understanding the phenomenon of Palekh and his work within the framework of the art of Palekh lacquer miniatures.
