LABOR PROTECTION AND SAFETY OF EMPLOYEES IN THE MINING INDUSTRY IN KYRGYZSTAN: HISTORICAL HIGHLIGHTS AND ONGOING ISSUES

Abstract

This article studies the legal and institutional issues of the establishment and development in the Labour Protection and Safety System in the Mining Industry of Kyrgyzstan. According to the data on mining activity at Mining Companies in the country, the research argues that the efficiency of the mining business is realized by labor safety and the improvement of industrial safety. The main issues and risky reasons of labor safety and safety of mining enterprises are outlined. The work conditions of employees and implementation of activities to prevent injuries are analyzed on the basis of the Kumtor Gold Company, as it has the most information in the open access.
