Abstract
This paper presents the research concerning the analysis of accelerometer data and the post-processing in order to monitor artistic and historical buildings. In particular, the case of interest was to consider the data acquired from a set of accelerometers suitably placed on the walls of a building, the “San Giacomo” structure, that is in renaissance style, built in 1663 and situated at the Old Town of Corfu in Greece. In this paper, a digital signal processing technique is presented and a database of signals acquired by means of accelerometers is suitably examined for the purpose of dynamical identification.
