Estrategias de gamificación en la enseñanza del idioma inglés a través de entornos virtuales en la Universidad Técnica de Manabí

Abstract

En la actualidad la tecnología ha transformado nuestro día a día, y con la educación no es diferente, razón por la cual se ha convertido en una herramienta de intercambio de experiencias entre quienes enseñan y quienes aprenden. Ante esta situación planteada, la importancia y aporte que brinda la tecnología en el campo de la educación se torna preponderante ya que permite emplear mecanismo de enseñanza interactivos y participativos donde el estudiante juega un rol sobresaliente en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Al emplear técnicas de aprendizaje que traslada la mecánica de los juegos al campo educativo, en especial en la enseñanza del idioma inglés, y a ello le sumamos la utilización de los diversos beneficios que brinda un entorno virtual de aprendizaje, conseguiremos que los estudiantes de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí adquieran nuevos conocimientos y habilidades para su preparación profesional. De ahí, que el objetivo de la presente investigación es determinar la importancia que conlleva la aplicación de estrategias de gamificación en la enseñanza del idioma ingles a través de la utilización de los entornos virtuales de la UTM. Para ello, se empleó un análisis documentación de los principales estudios que se han abordado en el entorno nacional e internacional relacionados con el objeto de la investigación. Gamification strategies in the teaching of English language through virtual environments at Technical University of Manabí ABSTRACT Today technology has transformed our day to day, and with education it is no different, which is why it has become a tool for exchanging experiences between those who teach and those who learn. Given this situation, the importance and contribution that technology provides in the field of education, becomes preponderant since it allows the use of interactive and participatory teaching mechanisms where the student plays an outstanding role in the teaching-learning process. By using learning techniques that transfer the mechanics of games to the educational field, especially in the teaching of the English language, and to this we add the use of the various benefits provided by a virtual learning environment, we will achieve that the students of the University Manabí Technique, acquire new knowledge and skills for their professional preparation. Hence, the objective of this research is to determine the importance of the application of gamification strategies in the teaching of the English language using virtual environments of the UTM. For this, a documentation analysis of the main studies that have been approached in the national and international environment related to the object of the research was used.
