Problems when Harvesting Energy with Piezoelectric Beam Elements

Abstract

Small, portable, independent, ecological and free energy sources are becoming the object of ever increasing interest. The energy harvesters are such kind of electrical sources that require development and deeper research for improving their performance. The current article is concerned with the problems that are characteristic for piezoelectric wafer harvesters. Experimental research and behavioral modeling are used to underline problems and suggest some readily applicable solutions.
