Abstract

The increasing density of nodes in large-scale wireless networks brings more broadcast traffics like emergency information and distributed networking. However, most of the current cooperative broadcasting schemes may suffer from overconsumption of spectrum resources for synchronization and relaying due to the lack of consideration of practical resource limitation. In order to cope with the challenge of potential efficiency decline, this paper propose a novel analytical coverage model for resource limited cooperative broadcasting using stochastic geometry and reasonable circular approximation. Simulation results show that the proposed model can accurately predict the number of covered nodes and reached distance.
