Abstract

This paper presents the simulation results of a tunable frequency selective surface operates at Ku-band. Liquid crystal is used to form the active configuration for passband frequency control and substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technology is used for the unit cell design. The simulation results show that FSS exhibits high selectivity and wide tuning range with acceptable insertion loss, which are rarely achieved at Ku-band.
