Abstract

In mobile communication systems, the difference between the received level of an existing sector and that of a neighboring sector changes over a wide range, handover and soft-handover occur frequently, and a significant load is applied to the base station control. In this report, we aim to clarify the stochastic characteristics of the difference between the received levels of the sector antenna in order to control handover appropriately.
