Abstract

An experimental study on corona discharge effect on hydrophobicity of Polymethyl methacylate (PMMA) and Styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) insulating solids is presented here. Contact angle evaluation of water deposited on the corona aged sample allows evolution of the surface condition to be characterized. More, time variation of adhesion energy, under electrical stress is calculated.
