Abstract

This article presents the feasibility of Hydrogen usage when applied as an energy storage technology. In this sense, a system was implemented, which consists of Photovoltaic (PV) panels that feed a specific load, whose operation obeys a residential consumption profile. With this, it analyses the behavior of all the storage elements, both considering the absorption of excess energy produced by the PV system, as well as its activation to supply the load demand in moments of solar energy generation absence. The performed tests consider an annual period, taking into account the yearly solar irradiation in the southeastern region of Brazil.
