The information was obtained through a questionnaire of open and closed questions. The findings show that the students have representations that fall between the liberal and republican models. Abstract

This article presents the results of an investigation about the social representations of high school students (16 to 18 years old) in Colombia regarding citizenship, democracy, participation and politics.
