Alveoliti në praktikën stomatologjike

Abstract

Alveolitis is the most frequent, unpleasant and painful complication after tooth extraction. Dental science has not yet managed to explain the pathogenesis of alveolitis. A large number of researches have been done in order to find an effective and safe method for its prevention and treatment. About this issue, debates continue in the pro- fessional literature at the world level, in which two domi- nant theories are observed: Birn’s fibrinolytic theory and the bacterial theory. In this literature review, a complete analysis of contemporary literature has been made that includes all aspects of alveolitis: epidemiology, clinic, di- agnosis, prognosis and treatment.
