Abstract

The new approach for measuring the complex permittivity of ferroelectrics in the microwave range is proposed. The double ridged waveguide is used as a measuring cell, which allows increasing the sensitivity and frequency range of measurements. The electrodynamic problem is solved for a waveguide with complex cross section and piecewise-layered dielectric filling. The installation and the measurement results of complex permittivity of BST ferroelectric ceramics with the addition of MgO in the range 7.5 - 18 GHz are presented.
