Abstract

This paper describes the comparison of amplitude error measurement in current shunts between NMIA and NIM at frequencies from 1 kHz to 100 kHz. A set of cage design shunts has been developed at NMIA and its amplitude errors determined using the ac-dc transfer setup at NMIA. At NIM a set of Inductive Current Dividers (ICDs) with ratios of 2:1, 5:1 and 10:1 has been developed to compare the amplitude errors of two shunts. Based on two totally different measurement methods, a number of current shunts have been compared at frequencies from 1 kHz to 100 kHz.
