Abstract

Affected by the path loss, Doppler frequency shift and the inter cell interferences and other factors, cell edge users were scheduled with less carriers, and had poor receiving effects. In order to improve the transmission capacity of cell edge users, we proposed a resource reserved Proportional Fair resource allocation algorithm with power allocation for the LTE-Advanced system. The users were grouped as edge-cell users and center-cell users. During each resource allocation period, a certain number of CCs and RBs were reserved only for the edge-cell users, and these frequency resources were transmitted with higher power. Proportional Fair were applied for both edge-cell and center-cell users.
