Electrical Buses: Development and Implementation in Chisinau Municipality, Moldova

Abstract

The paper refers to the elaboration, implementation and use of electric buses. The main particularities and trends in the field are examined and presented, after which the developed general structure of the traction and battery charging systems for the electric buses is presented. The economic analysis of the implementation and use in the municipality of Chisinau demonstrates the possibility of obtaining a high profitability even with limited resources.
