Towards Identifying Informal Caregivers of Alzheimer’s and Dementia Patients in Social Media

Abstract

An informal caregiver is a family member, friend, or neighbor who provides assistance to an older adult. Informal caregiving is associated with increased physical, mental, and emotional stressor contributing to poor health outcomes, and caregiver burnout. This project focuses on tracking and analyzing informal caregivers in Twitter.
