"THE HEART OF THE CITY" AND "HABITAT" AS PREREQUISITES FOR THE FORMATION OF THE CONCEPT OF "LIVING ENVIRONMENT"

Abstract

The article examines the historical background and theoretical sources concerning the issues of the emergence of the modern concept of "living environment". The analysis of theoretical works of the middle of the last century was carried out in order to define the concepts of such terms as "The heart of the city" and "Habitat" - the main provisions of which occupy a significant role in the organization of the space of the modern residential environment of cities.
