Evaluation and selection processes of petroleum exploration and development projects: an empirical study

Abstract

The paper describes the decision-making process of US petroleum companies in identification, evaluation and selection of petroleum exploration and development projects. The information was gathered through a combination of literature survey, input from expert panel and survey responses from decision-makers in petroleum companies. The paper discusses methodology, analyses and results of the study.
