Abstract
Er3+/Yb3+ codoped heavy metal germanium tellurite glass fiber amplifiers were prepared using the rod-in-tube method. The properties of the fiber amplifiers were investigated, and an internal gain of 2.4dB/cm at 1.535μm was obtained.
