Abstract
The electrical Demand on the grid is an ever-rising phenomenon that always demands technical advancements. With the existing transmission corridors, the only remedy for meeting the load is enhancing the Power Transferring Capability (PTC). This paper proposes a dynamic model for a back-to-back connected Flexible AC Transmission Controller which could enhance power transfer capability alongside improving the stability of the system. The performance of the proposed dynamic regulation model for an Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) controller is tested on the New York transmission network. The results have shown that the proposed Dynamic model of UPFC have enhanced the power transfer capability significantly.
