Abstract

The PUMA lubricant with the use of additives has been investigated. The principle of their interaction with rubbing surfaces is analyzed in order to evaluate their effectiveness as antifriction agents and their infl uence on the structure of layers. The effect of an organophosphate and organosulfi de additive on surface wear compared. The infrared analysis revealed an increase in the concentration of iron in the spent lubricant and a decrease in the concentration of organic base oil in the system. The infl uence of functional groups and surface wettability on the formation of protective fi lms during friction, was revealed.
