This study examined theories of motivation with the view to enrich our conceptualization and understanding on how drives and needs influence human behavior especially at the workplace. This paper aims to bring to fore the impact of employees motivation in improving performance of workers. Abstract

Meeting customers’ expectations through service quality is a goal that has not been realized in the Nigeria civil service despite efforts by the government to ensure effective service delivery. Hence, the call for workable measures to overcome this lingering challenge has in recent time become increasingly important.
