"New data from the order Thysanoptera (Insecta, Thysanoptera) in Spain"

Abstract

New information is incorporated on the diversity of the species of the order Thysanoptera (Insecta) present in the Spanish fauna; both on its continental and insular slopes. Twenty new species are cited in continental Spain, Chirothrips africanus Priesner; Anaphothrips euphorbiae Uzel; Oxythrips priesneri Pelikan; Microcephalothrips abdominalis (Crawford); Mycterothrips annulicornis (Uzel); Tenothrips reichardti (Priesner); Thrips crassicornis Bagnall; Thrips difficilis Priesner; Thrips dubius Priesner; Thrips euphorbiicola Bagnall; Thrips georgicus Pelikan; Thrips italicus (Bagnall); Thrips origani Priesner; Thrips pelikani Schliephake; Thrips roepkei Doeksen y Thrips tarfayensis zur Strassen within the suborder Terebrantia; while in the suborder Tubulifera the species Haplothrips amygdali Priesner; Haplothrips simplex (Buffa); Haplothrips (Trybomiella) mateolanus De Marzo & Ravazzi y Liothrips pragensis Uzel are mentioned. In the Canary Islands a new genus Androthrips Karny and two species have been found, An. ramachandrai Karny and Amphibolothrips marginatus (Bournier). In addition, the species Apterygothrips neolongiceps Johansen & Mojica is new on the island of La Palma; Bebelothrips latus Buffa is new on the island of La Gomera and Tenerife; Palmiothrips palmae (Ramakrishna) and Haplothrips sventenii zur Strassen are new to the island of Gran Canaria. Neohydatothrips signifer (Priesner) is cited for the first time in the Palearctic region. Se incorpora nueva información sobre la diversidad de las especies del orden de los Tisanópteros (Insecta: Thysanoptera) presente en la fauna española; tanto en su vertiente continental como insular. En la España continental se citan veinte nuevas especies, Chirothrips africanus Priesner; Anaphothrips euphorbiae Uzel; Oxythrips priesneri Pelikan; Microcephalothrips abdominalis (Crawford); Mycterothrips annulicornis (Uzel); Tenothrips reichardti (Priesner); Thrips crassicornis Bagnall; Thrips difficilis Priesner; Thrips dubius Priesner; Thrips euphorbiicola Bagnall; Thrips georgicus Pelikan; Thrips italicus (Bagnall); Thrips origani Priesner; Thrips pelikani Schliephake; Thrips roepkei Doeksen y Thrips tarfayensis zur Strassen dentro del suborden Terebrantia; mientras que en el suborden Tubulifera se mencionan las especies Haplothrips amygdali Priesner; Haplothrips simplex (Buffa); Haplothrips (Trybomiella) mateolanus De Marzo & Ravazzi y Liothrips pragensis Uzel.
