Built-in quality system: philosophy, principles and tools

Abstract

The article presents a justification for the impossibility of guaranteeing the quality of the product, based on the existing approaches in the field of "quality management" at the defense industry enterprises today. A model of the evolution of quality generations is considered. As an alternative approach to quality management, a transition to "built-in quality" is proposed: a model of "quality levels", the stages of transition are presented, principles are outlined and an instrumental model of "built-in quality" is presented. An example of achieving a world-class quality level at a Russian enterprise based on the transition to "built-in quality" is also given.
