Abstract
A Web-based interactive system for scientific simulations takes the simulation and the generated data to the World Wide Web, and thus increase the usability of the system by allowing remote users to view the simulations, to interact with the stimulation engine, to re-configured the underlying models, and to share the simulation with other users around the globe. The design of a web-based visualization system is discussed in this paper. Features that have been implemented and those yet to be implemented in this on-going project are both examined. The paper is concluded with a general discussion of extending the Web-based visualization system into a virtual laboratory.
