Abstract

The diagram-forming scheme is a complex functional unit consisting of passive microwave elements. It is used to provide the required phase and amplitude of the signals sent to the antenna. The advantage of this type of device is the electronic formation of antenna array beams without the need for mechanical action on the system elements. Such electronically controlled circuits are developed using a computer study of antenna elements and corresponding electronic components in the frequency or time domain. In our case, the simplest 4x4 Butler matrix was miniaturized using inductive and capacitive elements combined into artificial transmission lines and installed instead of segments. Such actions allowed to reduce the area of the matrix by 70.16%.
