The soil presented an average pH of 5.21 (acid), high levels of nitrogen (159.39 ppm) and phosphorus (57.33 ppm). It was evidenced that among the variables of soiland wood th e re are two significant negative relationships (nitrogen-holocellulose and phosphorus-extractants), and a positive relationship (nitrogen-lynogen).
