Abstract

This paper explores the potential of a 3-D printing technology for the development of radio frequency (RF) systems with applications in small satellites in a low Earth orbit. 3-D printed materials must survive the harsh environment of space and meet the operational requirements of the spacecraft. The results of a material study and the development of RF 3-D printed circuits are summarized.
