Abstract

Home insemination is a reproduction technique performed in a domestic environment and without medical assistance, by couples who wish to realize the parental dream and do not have the financial conditions to afford the medically assisted fertilization procedures. However, the technique has potential medical risks and legal implications, which are discussed in this article. The objective is to analyze the legal consequences of home insemination in homoaffective families, a fact that is justified by the peculiarities of this case, because the couple needs to avail themselves of the participation of a woman with surrogacy of the uterus, which can bring obstacles in relation to the child's civil record. The methodology used is qualitative, based on articles, books, judgments and legislation. It is concluded that there is a need to study the subject in order to inform and raise awareness about the possible legal effects arising from the use to avoid legal disputes.
