Clastogenic activity of integerrimine determined in mouse micronucleus assays

Abstract

The pyrrolizidine alkaloid integerrimine, obtained from Senecio brasiliensis, was tested by acute dosing at two concentrations (18.75 and 37.5 mg/kg), and at different times, to establish its ability to induce micronuclei in mouse erythrocytes.
