Abstract

Research has shown that "the most fundamental and crucial aspects of the market": profitability, return of capital to shareholders, management and safety, express a lot about the performance of the stock market since 1990. Moreover, these aspects have distinct financial features that provide meaningful information for investors. Indeed, a valid method to evaluate these aspects can be a vital tool for investors. This study attempts to examine the performance of three retail companies by calculating the primary ratio that is used to analyze the profitability, management, growth, and safety of those companies. This ratio has demonstrated that it is possible for investors to apply this calculation method to a company to create considerable future capital returns.
