Abstract
In this paper, a wideband circularly polarized (CP) cubical dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) for WLAN/Wi-MAX band applications has been presented. Design antenna consists of two cubical DRA to show wide impedance and axial ratio bandwidth. The orthogonal modes in cubical DRA have been excited using microstrip feed line along with conformal strip. Proposed designed shows the usable −10 dB input impedance bandwidth and 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth of 12.47% (5.49–6.22 GHz) in broadside directions. The design antenna radiates RHCP in broadside direction and it is confirmed by CP radiation pattern. Proposed antenna shows average gain and radiation efficiency in the broadside direction of 4.49 dBi and 88.77% respectively.
