Abstract

This paper presents a review of 3D reconstruction of coronary arteries based on the co-registration of Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) and coronary angiogram. This method has been proposed to ease the process of diagnosis and treatment for coronary artery disease, which is highlighted as a global disease. The purpose of this paper is to provide an introduction and understanding of the works that have been done. This paper consists of an introduction, importance of 3D coronary artery, registration process, background of IVUS and coronary angiogram, and a brief description about previous works.
