A Letter from the SIGWEB Chair

Abstract

It is a great pleasure to be writing this letter as part of SIGWEB’s new newsletter. SIGWEB is eighteen years old this year and you, the members, have just elected Maria da Graa Pimentel, Simon Harper and I to two-year terms as the officers of SIGWEB. As SIGWEB Chair, I’ve appointed four other active volunteers to join us on the SIGWEB Executive Committee: Claus Atzenbach,Frank Shipman, Bebo White, and Yeliz Yelisada. The next two years promise to be eventful, challenging and fun and I want to tell you some of the directions that SIGWEB is heading.
