Abstract
The main objective of this study is to analyze the dynamic behavior of the turbines in the existing wind farm in the Fântânele - Cogealac location in Dobrogea. The Fântânele Wind Farm has a capacity of 347.5 MW and 139 turbines. The Cogealac Wind Farm has a capacity of 226.5 MW, with 101 turbines of 2.5 MW. It will be considered different scenarios of the faults, such as short-circuit events or voltage drops resulting from the wind turbine transformer that will be compared with the typical settings at the protection relay of the 2.5 MW turbine. This comparison sets the power factor and the other stability criteria of the wind farm and implicitly there will be observed its constructive features.
