Abstract

The article covers the stages of formation and development of the Institute of philosophy and law of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It received the status of an independent organization in 1990, when the Institute of history, Philology and philosophy (IHPP) of the SB as of the USSR, established in 1966, was restructured.
